Applications are being accepted for the Erwin McDowell Educational Trust loan. This 0% interest loan provides a scholarship fund for deserving graduates of Creighton Community High School. Typically, graduates have been loaned $1,500-$2,000 per year, which varies, based on the number of applicants.
Applicants must be seniors or graduates of the Creighton Community School.
Applicants must apply each year in order to be considered.
The applicant must present a signed letter to the Board of Education stating the reason for wishing to attend college, indicating their choice of school, as well as a brief summary of their future career plans.
The student and student’s parents must sign a Promissory Note agreeing to repay the loan to the trust fund.
The student shall be required to repay the principle of the loan within a period of five (5) years after graduation or employment.
Please submit the letter by April 1 to Christine Baldwin, School Counselor. Submissions can be made either through the Erwin McDowell Google form found on Mrs. Baldwin’s school website or emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
