Kevin Asbury

A Creighton man who had previously alluded law enforcement was arrested Saturday night in a shelter belt in Plainview with the help from local citizens.

According to the Knox County Sheriff's Department, Kevin Asbury, who was out on bond from a previous arrest and ran from law enforcement following a pursuit two weeks ago, was arrested on several warrants on Saturday night.

The Plainview Police Department received a phone call from a citizen alleging a man, who was possibly Kevin Asbury, was in a store in Plainview, according to the sheriff's department. The Plainview officer made contact with the man and was given a false name. The officer called the Creighton Police Department to confirm and identity the man, who then he ran out the back door of the business.
