Arriving in Creighton two years ago, Father Jeremy Hans has served the St. Ludger parish in Creighton and St. Ignatius parish in Brunswick.
On July 1 the Archdiocese of Omaha, which covers Omaha and northeast Nebraska, underwent organizational changes. These changes are primarily in grouping together parishes to share pastors, associate pastors and other resources and programs.
According to Hans, this is the result of an ongoing pastoral planning process conducted by the archdiocese to adequately serve the needs for today and the future due to the declining number of priests.
As part of this plan, St. Paul the Apostle parish in Plainview was grouped with St. Ludger and St. Ignatius to be served by Hans.
“Though there will be some changes in coming together as this group, we are excited for the greater opportunities to work together that it presents and for continuing our mission to bring all the good news of Jesus Christ,” said Hans.
