The family of a missing Creighton man said he has still not been found; however, the search has been suspended at this time.
Leroy Doerr, 53, was last seen by his family on Friday at 6 p.m.
“Words cannot express the thanks for the volunteers and food, etc. over the last three days,” his sister said. “Unfortunately life must go on and we need to harvest and people need to get back to work. There will be no more active searches at this time.”
She asks area farmers to “watch your fields and ditches” as they harvest.
“Thanks again and be safe,” she concluded. “If you see something, please call 911 or the sheriff’s office in Center.”
Volunteers have spent the past couple days searching Doerr’s property and nearby fields. Doerr is 6'5" 165 pounds with green eyes and blonde hair. Doerr was last known to be at his residence. He is reported to have memory loss and a history of medical conditions which place him in danger.
Those with any information are asked to call 911 or the Knox County Sheriff's office at 402-288-4261.
