A suspect has been questioned in connection with the bomb threat at Creighton Community Schools on Wednesday, according to Creighton Police Chief Mark Duncan.
Duncan said the Creighton Police Department interviewed a suspect in Yankton, So. Dak. at approximately 12:15 a.m. Thursday.
"During the interview the suspect confessed to being the person that called in the bomb threat at the Creighton Public School on Aug. 21, 2019," he said.
The police chief said the suspect is not in custody and the suspect's name will not be released at this time.
"Other investigations are currently being conducted at this time in relation to this case," he said. "The suspect is currently cooperating with law enforcement. Any person involved in this case and others will be charged with crimes accordingly."
