Private family graveside services for Arthur Huber, age 90, of Lincoln, Nebraska formerly of Creighton, Nebraska, will be Saturday, October 24, 2020, at Christ Lutheran Cemetery in Bazile Mills, Nebraska. Reverend Terry Huber will officiate.
Brockhaus Funeral Home in Creighton is in charge of arrangements.
Arthur died Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at Lancaster Rehabilitation in Lincoln.
Arthur Benjamin Huber, son of Richard and Hertha (Schade) Huber was born March 20, 1930, at Perryton, Texas. He graduated from Northwestern Lutheran Academy in 1949. Art served two years of active duty in the United States Army during the Korean War. On May 15, 1954, he was united in marriage to Arlene Hennebold at Winner, South Dakota. They were the parents of five children.
Art lived in several places during his lifetime including, Clearfield, South Dakota and Houston, Texas before settling in Creighton, Nebraska. Art was the owner/operator of a mechanic shop. Art enjoyed traveling with Arlene to visit family in his retirement.
Art was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in rural Creighton where he served as Elder and Sunday School teacher. He was also a member of the American Legion.
Art is survived by his children, Julie Klaiber, Dennis (Kay) Huber, Michael (Melody) Huber, Kenneth (Nancy) Huber, and Jan Roberts; sisters, Martha Nelson and Tillie Johnson; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Arlene; brothers, Paul Huber, John Huber and wife Mardell, and Richard Huber, Jr.; sister, Velma Honeman and husband Ray; and brothers-in-law, Harold Hennebold, Clayton Nelson, and Marvin Johnson.
