Roger departed this world on June 21, 2019, for his eternal home in heaven.
Roger was born Dec. 6, 1944, in Plainview to Charles (Clem) and Fern (Michaelson) Henery. On April 1, 1956, he was brought to the waters of Holy Baptism at Antelope Creek Methodist Church, rural Elgin, where later in life he was also confirmed.
He graduated from Neligh/Oakdale in 1961. Roger enlisted in the Army National Guard in April of 1966 and served his country honorably for six years. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing, gardening and tinkering on equipment. He traveled more than 3,000,000 miles across our beautiful country as an over-the-road truck driver - further deepening his love for our great nation. Roger will forever be remembered as an honest, kind and loving man.
Roger is survived by his wife of 23 years Brenda (Spatz) Henery. They were joined in marriage on June 8, 1996, at Zion Lutheran Church in Plainview.
