Mass of Christian Burial for Eva R. Klosner, age 91, of Creighton, Nebraska will be 2:30 p.m. Friday, November 22, 2019, at St. Ludger Catholic Church in Creighton. Reverend Jeremy Hans will be Celebrant, with burial in St. Ludger Catholic Cemetery in Creighton.
Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Brockhaus Funeral Home in Creighton, with a 7:00 p.m. Wake Service.
Eva died Sunday, November 17, 2019, at Avera Creighton Hospital.
Eva Richling-Klosner was born on April 2, 1928, at Page, Nebraska. She attended Creighton Public School. Eva married Willard P. Richling on July 16, 1947, at Marysville, Kansas. She married Leonard Klosner on November 7, 1992, at Gretna, Nebraska.
Eva taught country school, was a wife and mother, Creighton city clerk, and a clerk at Manion’s Drug Store. She was a member of St. Ludger Catholic Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, and St Ludger Altar Society. Throughout her life, Eva enjoyed boating, waterskiing, sewing, quilting, playing cards, and dancing. She lived independently until the time of her passing.
Eva is survived by 11 children, Jerry and Sue Richling of Pierce Nebraska, Vicky Richling of Macon, Missouri, Bill and Ruth Richling of Broomfield, Colorado, Ruth and Ken Glover of Omaha, Nebraska, Joe and Patty Richling of Renton, Washington, Mike Richling of Billings, Montana, Mary and Bill Blair of Joplin, Missouri, Pat and Tom Gragert of Creighton, Nebraska, Pete and Tammy Richling of Omaha, Nebraska, Carolyn and Jeff McManigal of Center, Nebraska, and
Paul and Kristi Richling of Omaha, Nebraska; 26 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; two stepchildren; six step-grandchildren; 13 step-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Harold “Bud” Tyler of Norfolk, Nebraska.
Eva was preceded in death by her first husband, Willard Richling; her parents; second husband, Leonard Klosner; four sisters; two brothers; one granddaughter, Maggie Schwartz; and one grandson, Mitchell Richling.
