District Champions

The Creighton golf team traveled  to Tatanka Golf Club on Monday to compete in districts

The team took championship honors, scoring a 345. Runner-up West Holt trailed by only two points. The team from Boyd County also qualified for state competition after placing third.

Individually, three Bulldogs qualified for state. Conner Hammer, carded a 79 but fell to Jacob Lingenfelter of Plainview in a tie breaker play-off for first place. Braxton Brockhaus earned seventh place with a score of 83 and Bryce Zimmerer tied for 10th place with 87.

Brennan Pint carded a 96 and Tyler Wagner a 110.

The Creighton golf team earned first place at the Randolph Invite on Monday.

Brockhaus took medalist honors, shooting a 72 on the course.

Hammer shot an 80 for fourth place. Zimmerer earned eighth, finishing the course with an 81. Pint carded an 88 for 16th and Wagner tallied 97 for 31st.

Class D state competition will be held at Lake Maloney Golf Course in North Platte on May 21 and 22.

Competitors will play one 18-hole round per day beginning at 9:30 a.m.
