The Lady Bulldogs fell to top-seeded Ponca 35-68, in the quarterfinals of the Lewis and Clark Activity Conference Tournament.
The rescheduled game was played Thursday night at Laurel.
Ponca took off early and didn’t let up, leading 17-6 by the end of one period and 36-18 at the half.
Ponca outscored Creighton, 19-6 in the third quarter, but the Creighton girls didn’t quit, coming back with 11 points to Ponca’s 13 in the final period.
Ashtyn Fritz led the team with 14 points, five rebounds and two steals. Averi Diedrichsen found the bucket for seven points, Maycee Zimmerer and Bryna Fanta each scored four; and Charlize Wilmes, Clarissa Becker and Christen Curtis each made two points.
Fanta grabbed six boards and stole one, while Curtis stole three and they both added a pair of assists in the game.
Wilmes grabbed four rebounds and two steals and Zimmerer, three and two, respectively.
In other quarterfinal games, Hartington-Newcastle defeated Homer, 48-32; Randolph won over Wakefield/Allen, 44-35; and Wynot defeated Winnebago, 43-30. Semifinal games are scheduled Saturday at Hartington.
