The Bulldog men earned third place in the Knox County Invitational hosted by Creighton on Monday.

“It was a pretty nice afternoon for the Knox County Invite in Creighton, until the middle of the 200 pre-lims. The wind came up and the temperate dropped about 15 degrees. So a nice day finished up a little miserable,” said activities director Randy Kliment.

 The Creighton boys won four events and were only nine points behind second place, Bloomfield. Crofton earned first place with 118 points, Bloomfield, 89 and Creighton 80.

The field of nine teams also included St. Mary’s, 68.5, Laurel-Concord/Coleridge, 66, Boyd County, 54, Wausa, 24.5, Niobrara/Verdigre, 16 and Santee, 0.

The Lady Bulldogs took eighth place, 9 points. The Lady Warriors of Crofton took first place with 119 points, followed by Wausa, 97, Bloomfield, 96, St. Mary’s, 68, Boyd County, 50, Niobrary/Verdigre, 46, LCC, 41 and Santee, 0.
